Michael Bear Packed and Ready to Go

Michael Bear who has been helping us raise money for the St Michael’s Hospice for some months now had a bright idea. Fur coat or not he was beginning to feel the chill of winter and decided to head for warmer climes, Antipodean climes to be exact!

Yes, Michael Bear went walkabout and headed for Australia to visit his cousin Bruce the Koala, soak up some sun and do some sight seeing. He decided, every time Michael found himself at a notable point of interest or famous town he was going to post a picture on the website of himself and he wants you to sponsor him.

If people sponsor him for a small amount for each location he visited then he can help raise more money for the St Michael’s Hospice appeal. Michael started his Australian visit in Melbourne and then onto Sydney travelling up into the Northern Territories and Alice Springs. Then it is onto Cairns to check out the Great Barrier Reef before travelling overland to Brisbane.

His good friend Cameron stayed in Paphos organising the sponsorship forms which are available from the Hospice Shop by Agia Kyriaki.

Michael Bear is now back home in Paphos resting his weary legs (well it it was an awful lot of steps when your legs are so short!). Michael bear has covered a lot of Kilometres in Australia, can you guess how many?
