During his recent holiday visit, John Kearns, the Charity’s “Our Man in the UK”, presented the Board with €1250 as the latest contribution from Donations and Standing Orders received through the Hospice UK bank account, €250 of that raised by the Nottingham Catenians.
In total nearly £4000 has come in since April 1st. Much of the income has been donated under Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs Gift Aid scheme which will allow John to claim a tax refund for the Charity at the end of the year. This amounts to an additional income of approx £300 year to date.
